Deeply Rooted in North Carolina—EMDR & Trauma Therapy for the Triangle and Beyond

Though I currently practice from New York, my clinical foundation and experience began in North Carolina, and my connection to the Tar Heel State remains strong. Having spent nearly two decades living in the Triangle—with stops in quirky Carrboro, the charming Hillsborough, and the diverse tech hubs of Raleigh and Cary—I understand the unique rhythm of life there.

I’m not just a provider licensed in the state; I’m someone who has found peace walking the trails at Bond Park and Umstead, spent weekends recharging and hiking in Asheville, had special moments soaking in the healing waters of Hot Springs, and felt the stillness of the coast near Topsail and Pine Knoll Shores. As a proud alumnus of graduate programs at both UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State, I carry the culture and history of this state into my practice. I understand the pace of our communities and the needs and concerns that residents face.

Who I Work With: High Impact Therapy for NC Professionals and Creatives

I specialize in working with thoughtful, high-functioning adults who are often the “fixers” or high-achievers in their circles. My clients include:

  • RTP & Triangle Professionals—Academics, researchers, and design and tech innovators who need a space to process stress and trauma without it impacting their professional lives

  • Western NC’s Creatives & Entrepreneurs—Founders, community leaders, and artists from the Asheville, Boone, and Hendersonville area who value transformative work

  • Transitional Residents—Individuals who have relocated from major metro areas like NYC or DC

My clients are capable and insightful. They have often tried traditional talk therapy and gained awareness, but the patterns or thoughts remain stuck. They are looking for relief and resolution.

Clinical Excellence with a Carolina Heart

You aren't looking for a one-size-fits-all approach. You want someone who can handle the complexity of your experience with clinical rigor and local understanding.

A Unique Academic Hybrid: As a 'Double Alumnus' of NC State (for Clinical Mental Health) and UNC-Chapel Hill (for Information & Library Science), I bring a researcher’s mind and a clinician’s heart to our work. This means I’m committed to deep synthesis and understanding the 'why' behind your patterns.

Deep NC Roots: Having spent 18 years in the Triangle and countless weekends in Asheville and the Coast, I understand the cultural nuances of North Carolina life. You won't have to explain the context of your environment to me.

Flexible Coverage: I am an in-network provider for Aetna and United Healthcare, and I offer streamlined documentation for those utilizing Out-of-Network benefits or private pay.
